Husband and wife Sujata and Akash Hingorani started Oasis Designs, Inc. to create nature-oriented urban public spaces. “From the beginning, we wanted to do something meaningful for the world,” says Sujata. The firm, which has urban designers, architects, landscape architects and other experts takes a holistic approach to building sustainable cities. From taking derelict land and transforming it into public spaces, to thinking about water safety and management when designing cities, the team have become pioneers in sustainable building.
